JBServ 1.6.0 JBServbanner

Quote :
JBServ is a highly advanced Renegade Server moderation bot - it allows incredible flexibility and a simple configuration system that anyone can use. Not only does the bot allow changes to the most advanced settings, it also needs very little setup, for non-expert users.

If you would like to see this bot before downloading it, come to IRC server irc.magicalgaming.net, channel #JB1 to check it out.

Version 1.0.0 -released 4/6/07

Aside from a great multitude of commands accessible through IRC, this bot also features MANY server side adaptions and additions, all of which can be turned on and off with the click of a mouse. On top of this, the bot runs Black-Cell's SSAOW and SSCTF. The Server mode can be changed from AOW to CTF to 500 Sniping, to Sniping, to Infantry Only instantly, no more sorting through objects files, .dll files, or .ini settings - it is all accessible through the server bot when you press 'F2'. This bot also comes with a script that allows it to connect to XWIS and locate users playing online (you must provide a seperate username and serial for this to work).

On top of the IRC and ingame commands available for JBServ bot, the new server side features available for the bot include:

1. An advanced extra base defense script, allowing extra turrets and towers to be added to levels. The amount of towers and turrets for each team, for each seperate level can be changed, allowing for maximum user configuration. The towers/turrets can also be rebuilt by each team with the !bd command. A player can use !bd amount in team chat, and increase the amount of money in there base defense account. When there is enough money in the account (2000 by default, but can be changed), if a turret/tower is destroyed, it will be rebuilt. The amount in this account can be built up, so anytime a turret/tower is destroyed, the amount will be subtracted from the account, and that tower/turret rebuilt.
2. A script that prevents the aimbot usage of the new Renguard Hook Cheat. While this script cannot detect the cheat, it uses precautions to prevent the usage of it. There is an option to use this script on all players, no players, or only on players in a list (can be edited with the !rgh command, and viewed with the !rghlist command). This script is still in the testing stage, and unfortunately has some glitches (such as random blips on the radar, and a possible crashing problem), so if you see these problems, you may want to simply turn the script off.
3. A script that will detect the usage of a Purchase Terminal somewhere where a purchase terminal does not exist. This is used for a few cheats that allow players to make purchases anywhere - when a purchase is made in an invalid position, depending on how you change the settings, the IRC channel will show a message of who made the invalid purchase and how much farther away they were, will kick the user from the game, or will ban the user from the game.
4. A script that gives players 'upgrades' for having many points and kills. There are 4 different levels available, and each time a player gets upgraded they gain health, shield, and credits.
5. A script that allows players to repair beacons set by their team, so when an enemy begins to destroy it with a technician or engineer, they can repair it themselves.
6. A script that allows players to destroy proximity mines set by their team, useful for accidentally planted mines, dead buildings that are still mined, and teammates who don't know how to mine. The proximity mines are destroyed the same way members of the opposite team would destroy them - an engineer or technician repair gun.
7. A script that refunds the credits you spent on a character when you change your character. Ex: You have a mobius, and buy an engineer and get 1000 credits returned to you.
8. A script that allows the use of the !buy command (providing the vehicle factory is available). A player can type !buy vehicle in teamchat, and he will be able to buy a tank which will be carried to a place near the vehicle factory. This is useful for teams when the vehicle limit is reached, and when prepairing quickly for a rush so the team can use !buy and get vehicles normally at the same time. This option, like the others can be disabled, simply set !buy=7 in the commands.ini file to disable it. The default amount of time a team must wait in between each use of the !buy command is set at 120 seconds, this can be changed via the configuration window.
9. A script that allows the use of the !sellveh command. The player must have the vehicle bound, and the vehicle must be relatively close to the players vehicle factory - this way the player can't simply type !sellveh every time they are about to lose their tank, and recieve a full refund. The default settings for the amount of credits returned is a full refund, however the amount of credits for each tank can be individually changed.
10. A script that allows players to 'donate' credits to their buildings. Credits can be built up to an infinitely high number inside a building, and when that building recieves damage, it will take the credits to repair itself. The system is based on precentages, so the more money in that buildings account, the faster the building will repair itself. This can be very useful, but takes a great deal of credits - putting about 5000 credits into a building would repair it about as fast as an engineer would, but the building would be using the money up, and there would be less credits in the building, so it would repair slower. This option is controlled with the !building and !buildings command. By typing !buildings in teamchat, a player is given a list of all available buildings, the player can then type !building building amount and that many credits will be deducted from the player, and given to the building. To view how many credits are in a building, they can type !buildings building.
11. A script that prevents players from falling through the Hand of Nod on C&C_Field.mix. This script too is still in the making, and is not yet perfected. I have noticed that sometimes players don't respawn near the Hand of Nod when they fall to their death, so I will add some adaptations in the next version to include the whole level, rather than just the area around the HON.
12. A broad range of testing commands (commands for moderators to use to test other players) has been added. These commands could be easily abused by immature moderators, so you may want to only allow full moderators and above to use them, or if you don't want them, as any other command in the bot, simply set the command=7 in the commands.ini file (EX: !teleport=7). The available testing commands are:
* !teleport player/location location - A moderator can type !teleport gref, and be teleported to the GDI Refinery. They can then type !teleport bond5820 gref, and bring bond5820 to the GDI Refinery. A list of available teleport locations is available by typing !tlocations, and - best part of all - you can set up your own teleport locations. Simply move to the spot on the map you want, and type !pos somepos. Ex: You stand in the bunker on C&C_Field.mix and type !pos Bunker. Then when you type !tlocations you will see 'Bunker' added to the list. You can then teleport to the bunker any time you want. To remove a teleport location from the list, you must do it manually from the positions.ini file (in this case you would remove bunker_X, bunker_Y, and bunker_Z from under the C&C_Field.mix section.
* !creds player/amount amount - A moderator can type !creds 1000, and recieve 1000 credits, or can type !creds bond5820 -1000 and deduct 1000 from bond5820's total credits. This command is one of those that is easily abused - it should only be used to give a player enough credits for a sniper when the mod wishes to test them. So the mod could type !creds testedplayer 1000, and the player could then get a sniper.
* !kill player - A moderator can type !kill playername, and that player will be killed. This is most useful when a player gets stuck, or when a player is interfering with a test. Rather than qkick the player from the game, you can simply type !kill player.
* !refill player - A moderator can type !refill, and their character will be refilled. They can also type !refill playername and that player will be refilled. This is useful during tests, especially when testing for bones, and the mod has the player shoot them in certain areas, or when a player starts shooting the person being tested, you can type !kill annoyingplayer and then !refill testingplayer.
* !bring player - A moderator can type !bring nick and that player will be brought to where they are standing. Incredibly useful for testing.
* !goto player - A moderator can type !goto nick and the moderator will be teleported to that player. Incredibly useful for testing, and for use with the !spectate command (we'll come to that too).
* !spectate - A moderator can type !spectate and then become invisible, with the ability to fly. This way the moderator can float around and watch suspicious players without them knowing. Weapons cannot be used while in spectate mode (for obvious reasons) and to exit spectate mode the player should type !spectate again (You be killed when exiting spectate mode, so don't use an expensive character, and don't expect to be able to leave spectate mode inside an enemy building, and then blow it up).
