The previous, alpha release included a number of other important improvements:

* 22% faster CUDA-accelerated DXT compressor
* Compiled/compatible with release NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit
* Added support for input DDS files, including cube maps
* Added support for input PSD files
* Added nvdecompress tool
* Added nvimgdiff tool
* Added nvddsinfo tool
* DXT3 & DXT5 CUDA compressors
* Faster DXT5n CPU compressor
* Several bug fixes

12.5x faster and with higher-quality DXT compression than our previous version, our new GPU-accelerated Texture Tools support new DirectX 10 texture formats and come with complete source code.

The graph below shows the compression rate (in textures per second) across a range of popular high-quality compressors. All compressors were running on one processor of an Intel Core 2 Duo X6800, and the texture size was 1,536 x 1,536.
