| Okay I have a question about models, is anyone familiar with blender, and have a way to import export rene models? I personally like blender, and actually get the interface.
How do you do replacements for the maps? I want to try my hand at map specific skins XD. |

| I've wrote some tutorials on map editing.
Find them under tutorials on my site here: http://syckaudio.com/renegade/ There is a level edit basics tutorial to get you used to level edit; a how to add tib mist, and light emitters and the last one is if you just want to change textures. I also have made up downloadable packs for each map to make it much easier to start making your maps.
If you need any extra help with maps, just ask.
Can't help with the models though sorry. |

| You sure you are searching for the texture name followed by ".tga" rather than ".dds"? |

| You've renamed them in the w3d? okay save that and close the program. now see all the textures in the same folder as the w3d? Open the textures that you changed the names of in PS/Gimp. And edit them. When it comes to saving them, save them as the names you changed them to in the w3d. |

| Yes you do. But it's not a tga, it's a dds. Don't save them as tga files, only the w3d refers to them as tga files you save them as dds as normal. |

| Have you changed all instances of that texture to your renamed one? There will be far more than one in the w3d.
Plus, to test your changes. Just put the w3d and your textures into your data folder, instead of putting them into your map. It's much quicker. Then when you're happy add them to the map file. |

| No problem Regarding finding the texture, it is there. Double check that case sensitive is unchecked and the scope is set to begin and direction is set to down. For reference the first instance of L01-shingle02.tga is on line: 2C989 |
