Hello everyone!

After about one year of development, the RSF-HUD is finally available for the public.
I wish you happy gaming with this cool Head-up Display!

Compatibility:

This HUD only works with scripts 3.4.4. Scripts 4.0 and above are not supported.

However, you can still use scripts 3.4.4 and this HUD on servers that allow it and use 4.0 without this HUD on servers that only allow scripts 4.0. You will need to copy your entire 'Renegade' folder and name it something like 'Renegade_tt'. This way you have two renegade folders.

For example:
"C:\Westwood\Renegade" and "C:\Westwood\Renegade_tt".

"C:\Westwood\Renegade" will contain all your mods that will work in combination with scripts 3.4.4. This RSF HUD will be in here too.

"C:\Westwood\Renegade_tt" will contain only mods that work with scripts 4.0 (tt patch).

Now you basically have two instances of renegade on your computer. Each with its own mods and settings. Renegade will only work with the folder "C:\Westwood\Renegade". So if you want to play with the script 4.0 (tt patch) instance of Renegade you only have to rename "C:\Westwood\Renegade" to "C:\Westwood\Renegade_non-tt" and rename "C:\Westwood\Renegade_tt" to "C:\Westwood\Renegade". If you want to switch again you just only have to rename the folders again.

How the fuck is "mine counter" a cheat? You can also get this info with the command !c4
Vehicle counter doesnt also count as a cheat xD
and the "image radar" is a part of the SCRIPTS 3.4.4 lol

Also why system time?


oh btw you can disable all this shit in the hud.ini ( i think)

you can disable it easily, i had someone also claim that wireframe stealth was a cheat.(ROTFLOL) <--: also a scripts 3.4.4 feature

yes, i understood. i get the same thing from win7 unless i F8 EX enter.

sometimes even when i do it still does it, but ren is so full of bugs that it doesnt phase me.

as long as renegade runs and i can make the skin i want work im good

Um ya sorry but I hate this skin cause i downloaded it and a black screen appeared I finally got my renegade to work a week ago it has been 2 years since i played renegade cause of your skin. You put a bunch of shit in the file building skins the hud character huds and everything i checked it on my laptop before I accidentally broke my laptop. :/

if i remember correctly its a setting in the hud.ini
raptor has made his readme and hud.ini very informative
likely the setting will have an explanation typed out next to it

I downloaded and installed it less than 15 minutes, and everything works exactly as described.

What we need to recode:
EVERYTHING (TT does not regulate any of this stuff, BUT, once you get it working, you would need to recode it every update)

Perhaps you could make a 4.0 compatible hud until you get the features working with TT. I would not bother as it would break even from 4.0 to 4.0.0.0.1

Good to hear that TT does not regulate my code. I will probably make a recode in order to stay up-to-date. However, I will not do so for the beta releases of TT. So it can take a long time before I do it.

Just remember, shaders.dll is not open, so it would be a little hard to reimplement such stuff. I would not complain about this, as this means 0x90 has a harder time making cheats.


TT also released a working dazzle.ini with ACK's map. I will post this later on, but I would like to remake that nuke to include the nuke flare.

Well, if shaders.dll does not come with source files anymore, this HUD will be dead by the time they fully launch TT on every server.

hmm, you might be in luck. I recently posted a suggestion in the renegade forums beta testers thread, many people were interested in it, as the LUA support, and the allowance for server owners to disable certain items were interesting. Since it would be in a seperate DLL, it would likely be immune to minor updates.
