Hello everyone!

After about one year of development, the RSF-HUD is finally available for the public.
I wish you happy gaming with this cool Head-up Display!

Compatibility:

This HUD only works with scripts 3.4.4. Scripts 4.0 and above are not supported.

However, you can still use scripts 3.4.4 and this HUD on servers that allow it and use 4.0 without this HUD on servers that only allow scripts 4.0. You will need to copy your entire 'Renegade' folder and name it something like 'Renegade_tt'. This way you have two renegade folders.

For example:
"C:\Westwood\Renegade" and "C:\Westwood\Renegade_tt".

"C:\Westwood\Renegade" will contain all your mods that will work in combination with scripts 3.4.4. This RSF HUD will be in here too.

"C:\Westwood\Renegade_tt" will contain only mods that work with scripts 4.0 (tt patch).

Now you basically have two instances of renegade on your computer. Each with its own mods and settings. Renegade will only work with the folder "C:\Westwood\Renegade". So if you want to play with the script 4.0 (tt patch) instance of Renegade you only have to rename "C:\Westwood\Renegade" to "C:\Westwood\Renegade_non-tt" and rename "C:\Westwood\Renegade_tt" to "C:\Westwood\Renegade". If you want to switch again you just only have to rename the folders again.

what about matching building bars that go with the flow of the rsf hud just like in renegade forums screenshots you had earlier the building bars dont match Sad

k i found 2 new bugs !
1 ) when i press quit i crash
2 ) if some1 hs's me after 5 mins playing in a sniper server i crash (also when i do a sharp turn and get killed by a hs)

help ?

Hey. i installed all the stuff in "install" and a few other things form the "other modifications" folder. now when i launc renegade via ressurection or whatever i get an error *unfortunately, there was an error loading bhs.dll.Please report this bug!*

ok i've narrowed it down. i get this bhs error when i add the contents of the install "data" folder

Do you have scripts 3.4.4? Put the shaders in the renegade folder, the other hud files in the data folder. You might also want to try to disable the shaders in your bhs.dll options

And besides the fact 4.0 will disable this hud, it will probably take a very long time for it to be bugfree and required on every server.

Luckely it will never come ut if they keep working like this. Testing on another game for example and other stupid things there wasting time on.

Please Raprtor tell me your still here. I need help as im trying to mod and edit this hud to work with APB maps. I want to make a radar that works with the APB maps just like it does with renegade. Im having serious trouble and am about ready to destory my computer in rage . Please help me and explain how you got the maps to correctly fit with the units on the radar. Thank you.

Well, since raptor didn't respond yet, I'll respond too :p
I also create map overviews (that's how it's called lol, those map thingy's). I agree it's hard to make everything fit, with some maps it's impossible to make it fit correctly (hate this) but on some other maps it will fit correctly. I just do it myself by trying untill it fits xD. It takes a lot of time, but the result is worth it.

I edited some mapoverlays because they looked ugly and tried to add tunnels and stuff. And like soulhunter said it's annoying, very frustrating and time consuming to make get them right. Just try untill it works, and use other maps as examples to make them work with the new maps you want them to work for.

I never made any map overlay. I just improved the existing ones a bit and decreased the size by a certain percentage. You will need to make a new map just the normal size tga and then decrease it for my HUD. make sure you decrease the number in the mapname.ini by the same percentage.

Well, the name of that file would be the same as the name of the map, but with a .ini extension istead of a .mix.

The scrollingmaptexture is most of the times a 1024x1024 texture which is just a picture of the map from above.
Dunno about the scrollingmapoffset thingy's, never used that
The scrollingmapscale is just the distance ingame compared to the distance on the picture

I need a modified HUD.


I need a HUD for A Path Beyond, which allows no cheats. The following should be trimmed:
Mine counter
Vehicle counter
Overhead image radar (Return to round radar please)
System Time

If possible, I want the following added:
At the bottom left hand corner, below the new round radar, is an Icon of your current charecter. It will change colors when you are getting damaged, from clear, to yellow, to red, to black.

At the bottom right hand corner, is an icon of your vehicle, which changes color depending on health. If not in a vehicle this does not show.

Please do so, no other changes needs to be made, only this, as APB is a W3D modification.

PS: Do not include your own shaders

2. I don't beleive there is currently someone willing to do that much effort.
